Val Gardena has not only helped write ski history with its winter sports champions, it still is the annual meeting point of the world’s elite. With its connection to the “Dolomiti Superski”, the world’s largest ski carousel and the nearby Alpe di Siusi, the area is a paradise for all winter sport enthusiasts. Skiers can use the lift pass Dolomiti Superski to access 450 lifts and visit 1,200 km of perfectly groomed slopes.
Skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, sledding, ice skating, snowshoeing or just going for a leisurely stroll and resting in one of the many cosy huts to enjoy the sun. There’s something for everyone!
The famous “Sella Ronda” ski carousel, which covers the largest ski area in the world around the Sella Massif, can be reached in no time at all.
The bus stop for the ski bus, which runs every hour to Ortisei, is 500 metres from from our house (5 minutes by foot).


Val Gardena Alpe di Siusi and Dolomiti Superski

The Dolomiti Superski ski pass combines 500 kilometres of slopes around the Sella Group and a total of 1,220 km of slopes in 12 ski areas.
The spectacular annual World Cup races on the famous Saslong slope or the legendary ski tour Sella Ronda or the crossing of the mountain passes to the Marmolada, the Queen of the Dolomites, have made the winter ski resort of Val Gardena known throughout the world. With the lift pass Val Gardena-Alpe di Siusi, you can have a varied ski experience on modern ski lifts covering a total of 175 kilometres of slopes.
The most beautiful slopes in Val Gardena such as Saslong, Dantercepies, Ciampinoi and Seceda, which are famous with every fan of winter sports, well beyond the Val Gardena valley, start in the villages of Selva, S. Cristina and Ortisei.


Sledding - Fun on the hooves

Sledding has evolved into a popular sport in South Tyrol. Whether you prefer a classic day trip with the family, or an amusing “moon shine sled” with your friends, the fun factor never ends on the newly created and safe sled runs in the ski resorts.
